چکیده

word word P(w) (decision tree) model Although finite-state transducers have been widely used in linguistics, their application to speech recognition has begun only recently [I]. We describe our implementation of French large vocabulary recognition based on transducers, and how we take advantage of this approach to integrate automatic pronunciation rules and cross-word phenomena such as French 'liaison'. We also show that a simple, single-level Viterbi algorithm can efficiently decode speech recognition transducers and handle cross-word context models and cross-word phonological rules.

Finite-state Transducer Based Phonology and Morphology Modeling with Applications to Hungarian Lvcsr

This article introduces a novel approach to model phonology and morphosyntax in morpheme unit based speech recognizers. The proposed method is evaluated in our recent Hungarian large vocabulary continuous speech recognition (LVCSR) system. The architecture of the recognition system is based on the weighted finite state transducer (WFST) paradigm. The task domain is the recognition of fluently r...

Finite-state Transducer Base with Explicit Modeling of Ph

This article describes the design and the experimental evaluation of the first Hungarian large vocabulary continuous speech recognition (LVCSR) system. The architecture of the recognition system is based on the recently proposed weighted finite state transducer (WFST) paradigm. The task domain is the recognition of fluently read sentences selected from a major daily newspaper. Recognition perfo...

Speech Recognition with Weighted Finite-state Transducers

This chapter describes a general representation and algorithmic framework for speech recognition based on weighted finite-state transducers. These transducers provide a common and natural representation for major components of speech recognition systems, including hidden Markov models (HMMs), context-dependency models, pronunciation dictionaries, statistical grammars, and word or phone lattices...

A Brief Overview of Decoding Techniques for Large Vocabulary Continuous Speech Recognition

A number of decoding strategies for large vocabulary speech recognition are examined from the viewpoint of their search space representation. Different design solutions are compared with respect to the integration of linguistic and acoustic constraints, as implied by M-gram LMs and cross-word phonetic contexts. This study is articulated along two main axes, namely, the network expansion and the...
